Computer Lab Policy

The SEPLSO Service Center and several branches have multiple portable computers and projectors that can be used as computer traninig labs. Several of the following rules governing the use of these labs were conditions of the grant which funded SEPLSO's first traning lab.

Scheduling: First priority on use of the lab will be training of librarians. This includes any training done by or arranged by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries;
-second priority will be for computer classes for the public sponsored by the library;
-third priority will be for computer Internet training at the library for any organization or group that wishes to use the computer lab. Every such use will be on a first-come, first-served bases, and every use must be specifically scheduled. There sill be no automatic repeat scheduling for any non-library group. the library reserves the right to limit repeat use of the training lab, in order to ensure equitable access by all interested groups. Before actually using the training lab, a group registration form must be signed by a person authorized to accept responsibility for the group;
-other times: when the training lab is not being used for an organized training activity, the computers may be available, by request, for in-library use by the public, provided appropriate staff supervision is available.

Fees of charges: teaching of classes i the computer training lab on a for-profit basis is not allowed, and no fees or charges to dcomputer training lab students will be permitted, except to cover actual costs incurred. Library staff will arrange with non-SEPLSO groups for computation and collection of costs for prints and any other consumables, as well as for any required technical work, damage, or loss.

Rules and regulations; all users of the comuter trining lab shall comply with all laws, SEPLSO policies, and library rules and regualtions, and shall immediately cooperate with library staff or other authorities enforcing them. Failure to do so shall result in immmediate termination of training lab use, and may result in being barred from future use or possible legal action.
